This time of the year there are many things to celebrate. Mothers day and Graduations are happening all at the same time. This is one of the largest gift-giving times of the year, and flowers are among the number one parched items to give, and self-care gift baskets make the list as well. Instead of heading to the mall to get an over fragranced gift basket, try our gift box options combining floral displays on our soaps and petals to give natural colors to each item, with flowers and self-care items all in one!
Graduation occurs at many stages of our lives from kindergarten, 6thgrade, high school, college, and so on. Change is inevitable and things happen faster than we think they will, looking back on life seems to flash by us in the blink of an eye. Making the switch to all-natural products that feed our skin and not strip away our natural oils, can help with many common skin issues. Self-care items make great gifts for all ages, for we all need soap and skincare items in life. Bar soap may not be the first thing you think of when it comes time to give a gift, and custom soaps are perfect for just that. Let me incorporate something from your life that means something special to you in a custom batch with sand from your favorite beach, flowers from your mother's garden, spices that remind you of home, or honey you collected. These soaps will sure to be cherished and loved with every use.

In honor of Mothers Day, I created my largest gift box packed full of goodies. Big was my nickname growing up as I was the oldest child, the word BIG has a special meaning to me and my loved ones, so it was only natural that THE BIG BOX was the name I chose for my largest gift box. We have something for the new mothers to be and the veteran mothers of many. This year show your mom you care with a pamper box full of all-natural skincare items. Pamper yourself today with an at-home spa experience. This luxury gift box includes a large Turkish towel, moisturizing toner, bath salts, mud mask, pine sap salve, chapstick, blue cream, three-pack of soaps, soap saver tray, mesh soap bag, muslin soap pouch, soy candle, crystal & a teabag.

Celebrating special people and special moments in our life is an important tradition we practice as humans, and gifts should not always be the focus. These times should be spent together making memories, not stressing overpaying for a gift you had purchased out of your budget. I hope to encourage you to smile, laugh, hug, and enjoy the company of your family and friends, this year treating this as your gift, for memories last a lifetime and items break and wear out. Time is the true gift to be giving and receiving this year, as it is the most precious gift of all and can not be purchased for any amount of currency.
(Peony flowers in a vase.)
Some of my most fond memories are of purchasing three large soft glass vases to hold up the massive blooms of pionies I had cut from my yard at the time. One for my mother, my grandmother, and my stepmother. One of the least expensive gifts ever and all of them adored them. Part of the peony plant was dug up and given to my stepmother and has matured enough for me to have a part of it at my new home. To this day every one of them tells me how that was one of their favorite gifts. Two of these vases have made their way back to me, and are something that I get to cherish daily, and once a year get to fill them with the same bouquet of massive pink flowers in memory.

Here is to new beginnings, careers, mothers, children, and growth as we all move forward little by little each year. Springtime is an annual reminder of this, when one door closes many doors have the possibility of opening, it is up to us to choose where we would like to go. Taking the time to set some goals and work towards what we want for our future is a great way to take the first steps to make those goals an actuality. It is ok to start over, change directions and even try new things. Take chances that are along your path to the future that you want, and enjoy the process as it unfolds itself. It is not about the destination but the path we take to get there, and what we do to help others along the way.

This year when it comes time to celebrate with loved ones thinks outside the box with one-of-a-kind handmade gifts, custom soaps are perfect for all occasions life has to offer. Instead of giving the usual items, think of getting a custom batch of soap for someone you love. Self-care is the best form of care, specialty cold process soap is not only beautiful as a decoration, but functional art everyone is sure to enjoy. Shop local and help support local businesses in your community, head to those plant sales, outdoor markets, and farmers markets this year when in search of something special to gift, and you may even find something in your hometown that you have overlooked before, and can't live without now! Find a local soap dealer near you or contact me for all of your fresh soap deals.
